IAQ - Energy Solutions began as a division of Filtration Services Inc.,
incorporated in Texas in 1974. Long concerned about mold and other
contaminants that thrive in HVAC systems, company leaders were disturbed by
the growing consensus that these bioaerosols, circulated throughout
buildings by HVAC systems, present a serious threat to health.
Germicidal ultraviolet devices were found to be the solution. These UVC lights actually increase in germicidal output in the cold, moving air inside HVAC systems. Each emitter provides continuous source control for airborne contaminants -- at last a safe and effective way of purifying indoor air and keeping it clean. Now an independent entity, IAQ - Energy Solutions has made a commitment to see that the best UVC products are installed in every air handling unit in the Houston area.

The Young family has been in the air handling and filtration business since
Frank Young started the F. R. Young Company in 1950 to supply HVAC
equipment to contractors in the Houston area. The company installed the
first Clean Rooms (specially designed rooms with ultra pure air) at the
Johnson Manned Spacecraft Center and consulted on the HVAC system for the
Astrodome, which was the world's first domed sports stadium. In the late
1960s and early 70s Frank's son Rob pioneered the use of bonded polyester
air filter material to replace much less efficient fiberglass filters. Now Dan Young, Frank's younger son, is spearheading IAQ - Energy Solutions.

Dan Young brings 22 years of experience in the air filtration industry
to IAQ - Energy Solutions. He is a member of the American Society of
Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and has

Filtration Association since 1994.
